De Ridder (21-3) suffered an upset loss in his last outing, where Brendan Allen forced him to stop after the fourth round. That defeat was his first in the UFC, but he capped off 2025 with a standout year, including a knockout over Bo Nickal and a close decision victory over former champion Robert Whittaker.
Borralho (17-2) also endured his first UFC defeat in his latest bout, dropping a unanimous decision to current No. 1 contender Nassourdine Imavov. Prior to that loss, he rattled off seven straight wins, defeating notable rivals such as Jared Cannonier, Paul Craig, and Abus Magomedov.
In another high-profile middleweight clash, former title challenger Paulo Costa takes on fellow Brazilian Brunno Ferreira.
Costa (15-4) returned to winning ways in his last fight, narrowly defeating Roman Kopylov at UFC 318. The win snapped a two-fight skid that included losses to Sean Strickland and Robert Whittaker.
Ferreira (15-2) earned a ranked-opponent booking after a three-fight winning streak, highlighted by a dominant victory over Marvin Vettori at UFC 323. Ferreira, nicknamed “The Hulk,” is 6-2 inside the Octagon.
