I just love it when products work as advertised. š
My post-Hawaii tan hasnāt shown any signs of peeling, and I think Clinique deserves most of the credit.
Iāve been applying their After Sun Rescue Balm with Aloe ($20) once a day since getting back home on Monday.
The stuffās not just your run āo the mill lotion. Itās designed to soothe and repair skin exposed to the sun, thereby minimizing peeling while moisturizing and cooling at the same time.
Even though I was good about using sunscreen on my trip, my skin still turned extra brown, and I was bracing myself for it to peel, particularly on my shoulders and arms.
Despite my best efforts and diligence after a trip to someplace sunny, I usually experience at least a little peeling.
But cooling Clinique After Sun Rescue Balm in place of my regular post-shower moisturizer seems to have helped.
It has a subtle mint fragrance, absorbs fast and doesnāt leave a greasy film.
And the soothing cooling sensation from rubbing it in sure feels nice after a hot day in the sun. That alone *almost* makes it worth the $20 price.

Cat bathing 101
Thanks for your tips on cat cleaning! I still havenāt given Tabs his bath, but now Iām armed with knowledge, ha!
He still smells of Eau De Musky Cat Butt, but it has faded somewhat since Monday. If heās still stinky this weekend, Iāll give him his bath. Iām thinking of using this stuff I found at Petsmart. It comes in a Vanilla Bean scent. š
Do you have plans for the weekend? Friday, here we come!

Lindsay saysOh, I think I might get this! I have a horrible habit of not putting sunscreen on when Iām at the beach and when I do, I forget to reapply. Thanks for sharing, Karen!
How was your trip?

Karen saysHi Lindsay,
Sure thing!
One thing that Iāve found helpful is the spray sunscreens. They apply so fast and barely take any effort to rub in. Itās great for when youāre feeling lazy/forgetful. š
My trip was good! Though Iām happy to be back home, I miss the warm weather and my fam. Whatās new with you? Got any exciting weekend plans?

Where are you headed for your holiday?

Vonvon saysHi Karen,
Planning to go to Bali, but not confirmed yet. Still waiting for our friends from the UK to arrive then weāll decide! š
Btw, the new Clinique offer here is not as good as the offer of the GWP retro makeup pouch plus loads of other freebies you are having over there(which you featured several weeks ago).
