The PGA TOUR has unveiled the nominees for the prestigious Jack Nicklaus Award (Player of the Year) and the Arnold Palmer Award (Rookie of the Year) for the 2025 season. The selections were made by the PGA TOUR Player Directors and members of the Player Advisory Council (PAC).
Four exceptional players are in the running for the Jack Nicklaus Award: Tommy Fleetwood, Ben Griffin, Rory McIlroy, and Scottie Scheffler. These athletes have demonstrated remarkable skill and consistency throughout the season.
For the Arnold Palmer Award, five talented newcomers are nominated: Michael Brennan, Steven Fisk, William Mouw, Aldrich Potgieter, and Karl Vilips. These rookies have shown immense potential and have already made significant impacts on the tour.
The Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year awards are determined by a democratic process, with PGA TOUR members casting their votes. Members who participated in at least 15 official FedExCup events in 2025 are eligible to vote. This year, the voting process has been streamlined through the PGA TOUR CENTRAL app and website, making it easier than ever for members to have their say.
The ballot will be open from Thursday, December 4, at 10 a.m. ET, to Friday, December 12, at 5 p.m. ET. The winners of these prestigious awards will be announced at a later date, adding to the excitement and anticipation in the golf world.

Jack Nicklaus Award Nominees:
- Tommy Fleetwood (34, Southport, England): Tommy Fleetwood had a stellar season, winning the TOUR Championship and claiming the FedExCup title. He finished fourth in the Official World Golf Ranking and third in Scoring Average. With eight top-10 finishes and only one missed cut (U.S. Open), Fleetwood has proven his consistency.
- Ben Griffin (29, Chapel Hill, North Carolina): Ben Griffin entered 30 events, securing three victories. He finished ninth in the Official World Golf Ranking and tenth in the FedExCup. Griffin's strong performance included 12 top-10 finishes and six missed cuts.
- Rory McIlroy (36, Holywood, Northern Ireland): Rory McIlroy's season was remarkable, as he became the sixth player to complete the career Grand Slam. He won three tournaments, finished second in the Official World Golf Ranking, and second in Scoring Average. McIlroy's eight top-10 finishes and one missed cut showcase his dominance.

- Steven Fisk (28, Sea Island, Georgia): Steven Fisk entered 27 events, securing one victory at the Sanderson Farms Championship. He recorded a top-10 finish at the Puerto Rico Open. Fisk made 16 cuts in 27 starts and earned his 2025 PGA TOUR membership through the 2024 Korn Ferry Tour.
